White Plains 

White Plains is a city in Westchester County, New York. It is an inner suburb of New York City and commercial hub of Westchester. White Plains is located in south-central Westchester, with its downtown, Mamaroneck Avenue, 25 miles north of Midtown Manhattan. White Plains is bordered to the north by the town of North Castle, and east by the town/village of Harrison, to the south by the town/village of Scarsdale, and to the west by the town of Greenburgh. Students go to the White Plains Public Schools, which has five elementary schools (grades K–5), two middle schools; Eastview for grade 6, Highlands for grades 7–8, and one high school for grades 9–12. There are Two Metro-North Railroad stations, the White Plains station located downtown at Main Street and the Bronx River which takes 50 minutes to an hour to arrive at Grand Central, and the North White Plains station, which takes 54 minutes to just over an hour to get to NYC. Both stations are on the Harlem Line.
